Mayde Creek Animal Health Center In-House Pharmacy

Mayde Creek Animal Health Center is pleased to offer our clients access to our extensive in-house pharmacy. Our fully-stocked pharmacy carries a variety of medications used to treat your pet. Your pet's prescription is usually ready for pick-up at the front desk following your pet's appointment. Our friendly staff is also available to give instructions on administering your pet's medication and answer any questions you may have.

MCAHC also offers our clients the Hill's and Purina lines of prescription diets for pets with special dietary needs. We work with you to determine the prescription diet that best fits your pet's special dietary requirements.

Heartworm, Flea and Tick Prevention

Parasites are a pain - not just for your pet, but for you and your family as well. Heartworms, hookworms, roundworms, fleas and ticks all pose serious health problems to your pet. Many parasites also are zoonotic, which means they can be passed from animals to humans. Prevention is the best way to combat parasites and keep your pet safe. Mayde Creek Animal Health Center offers a wide range of products that can prevent heartworms, fleas and ticks from infecting your pet. We help you find the product that best suits your pet and recommend additional treatment methods.

International Health Certificates

Traveling with your pet can be fun, but make sure you're prepared. If you and your pet are going abroad, you must obtain an international health certificate for your pet before traveling. Mayde Creek Animal Health Center is authorized to perform examinations for international health certificates. Please ask a staff member for more details about obtaining an international health certificate for your pet.

Allergy Testing

Pets can have allergies just like humans. And just like humans, your pet's allergic reaction can be due to a variety of allergens. Your pet can be allergic to dust, pollen, fleas and even certain types of food. Mayde Creek Animal Health Center can perform a battery of tests on your pet to determine his or her allergy. We then develop a treatment plan unique to your pet.
