Karen Malutich, DVM
Dr. Karen Malutich has cared for pets at Mayde Creek Animal Health Center as an associate veterinarian since 2009. Dr. Malutich enjoys the challenges of veterinary medicine, as well as the scientific and medical aspects of her career. But most of all, she enjoys experiencing and strengthening the amazing bond between people and their pets.
A native of Austin, Dr. Malutich completed her undergraduate education at Texas A&M University. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2006. She continued her veterinary education at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated magna cum laude and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.
Dr. Malutich is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Veterinary dermatology, internal medicine and exotic animal care are among her many professional interests.
When she's not busy caring for pets at the hospital, Dr. Malutich enjoys gardening, reading and making beaded jewelry. Her animal companions include a Dachshund named Fay, a rabbit named Lily and two frogs.
