Darren Williams, DVM

Owner of Mayde Creek Animal Health Center, Dr. Darren Williams grew up in Aledo, a small town outside of Fort Worth. He has had a lifelong love of caring for pets and practiced medicine at animal hospitals in San Antonio and Houston before opening Mayde Creek Animal Health Center in 1994.
Dr. Williams attended Texas A&M University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science in 1986. He continued his education at the Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. His professional interests include orthopedic surgery, endocrinology and cardiology. In 2007, he received his Master's Degree in Business Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix.
A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Williams also serves on the legislative committee for the TVMA and is a member of the Lone Star College Veterinary Technology Program Advisory Committee.
In his spare time, Dr. Williams enjoys scuba diving and sailing. He is also a Civil War buff and a Houston Astros fan. Dr. Williams and his wife, Jennifer, a veterinarian for the Texas Department of State Health Services, have two adult children. Their four-legged family members include three dogs, Ellie, Rosie and Belle, a three-legged cat named Sarah and a horse named Peyton.
