Diagnostics

Veterinary diagnostic services allow us to take a closer look at the internal workings of your pet and can assist our veterinarians in determining any underlying conditions in your pet. At Mayde Creek Animal Health Center, we have state-of-the-art diagnostic tools that can help us make an accurate diagnosis of your pet’s condition, as well as treat and prevent other medical issues in your pet.

Laboratory

Our facility has an advanced laboratory that allows us to evaluate your pet’s health using extensive and thorough testing procedures. With these lab tests, we can quickly diagnose the condition and find a solution or treatment as quickly as possible. Our laboratory is staffed by experienced veterinary technicians that will interpret the results quickly and accurately.

X-rays

Radiographs (better known as x-rays) are a common test that allows us to diagnose your pet. X-rays are used to find diagnose fractures and joint abnormalities, and diagnose issues with the heart, lungs, urinary, and digestive organs. X-rays can also detect certain types of tumors and cancers, as well as find foreign objects that may have been ingested.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound is an advanced, noninvasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce a real-time image of your pet’s internal organs. We use ultrasound for a variety of diagnostics to provide a better view of internal organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, and lymph nodes. The detailed images that ultrasound provides are effective at detecting fluid, tumors and foreign bodies in your pet’s stomach. Ultrasound is also used to diagnose heart disease and is commonly used for pregnancy evaluations.
