
Dr. Melody Palmer
A Texan since birth, Dr. Melody Palmer grew up in Allen. She attended Tarleton State University, graduating in 2019 with her bachelor’s degree in animal science and minor in biology. She then pursued higher education at Texas A&M University, graduating in 2024 from their College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Palmer’s favorite parts of veterinary medicine are advocating for animals who cannot speak for themselves and building lifelong relationships with her clients. She has a soft spot for nervous patients who might require a bit more attention, and special interests in soft tissue surgery, wound management, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA), Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV), Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV), and is Certified Fear Free.
She currently has many pets, both warm and cold-blooded. Just to name a few, she has 5 snakes, 3 dogs, and even an axolotl! Her first reptile that she got was a ball python, named Dalia, of whom she still has to this day. During her free time, she enjoys collecting rare houseplants, reading fantasy books, and spending time with her animals.
